On the day of the Cal game, we had some time in the morning before heading down to Phoenix (since we couldn't check into our hotel until the afternoon). We decided to get out and do some hiking, and there was a nice park near the ever-present Verde River called Dead Horse Ranch. Once again, that's the town of Jerome up on the hill, as we stand by the banks of the river.
